The farm
Spring at the lavender farm is a promise of a new season. As plants and flowers begin to awaken from their winter slumber starting to peek out and show their beauty, we all are excited to see another season coming on. The many flowers, fruit trees, and the plants at the lavender farm are turning tinges of green with new shoots and tender color. It is such an amazing time to be at the farm. Every year we discover another new wild flower we have not seen before on the property. Each year the weather patterns offer a different flower to dominate the season. It is a treasure trove of floral eye candy.
Lavender is still waking and will only show tiny tinges of green. They are slow to wake but come on with intense color and fragrance. Most lavenders do not wake until June here in New Mexico and have a slower blooming season here at the farm because we sit at 5800 ft above sea level. This allows the aroma-therapy of our lavender to be sweeter and stronger.
Spring is a beautiful time of the year here at the lavender farm.
